What makes a Rust server good for a new player?

A steady population, a regular wipe cycle and a group limit you can manage. Regular wipes give you a fresh start without veterans holding every monument. Check the population three days after the last wipe: if it holds, the server is worth your time.

Do these beginner Rust servers have rules that protect new players?

Some do, some do not. The beginner tag comes from the server name alone, not from any check by us. Spawn protection, lower upkeep and no kill-on-sight rules are common on these servers. Read a server's own rules before you rely on them.

Which gather rate suits a new player?

Start at vanilla or 2x. Most of the servers here leave the rate unstated, which typically means vanilla. A 2x server cuts the early farming loop without the inflated loot that comes with 5x or 10x. If a raised rate is not shown in the Modded tab, treat it with caution.

How often do beginner Rust servers wipe?

Patterns differ. About half of the servers here wipe on a fixed weekday every week or two. The rest follow a looser schedule. The Next wipe column on each row gives you the live countdown, so you can time your first session.
