How is this server list ordered?

By the number of players connected right now, highest first. You can change the sort to rank, to recent wipe, or to next wipe. The rank order reflects player hours over the last seven days, not the current count.

What does a server's tier mean?

A tier is assigned only by a server's rank on player hours over the last seven days. It runs from Bronze to Titanium. The tier is not influenced by the evaluation score or any other metric.

How often does the list refresh?

Every five minutes. The data comes from Steam's public server list and direct server queries. Population, wipe status and settings can change between refreshes.

Why do some servers show a reset instead of a wipe?

Those servers generate a new world every few hours. That is a reset, common on aim-train, arena and build servers. A wipe replaces the map on a longer schedule, often weekly or monthly.
